As the school year comes to an end, we wanted to look back on a busy and rewarding year, and to say a big thank you to every school we've worked with.

We're an education recruitment agency based in the West Midlands, working with special schools for children with a range of needs.

We do more than fill vacancies. We take the time to find reliable, fully vetted teachers and support staff who settle in quickly. Alongside that, we'veloved bringing The Donkeys and our Young Driver days into schools this year.

Working with The Donkeys has been one of the highlights of our year. We bring our calm, friendly miniature donkeys into schools so that children can meet them, groom them and spend time with them. The visits are gentle and relaxed, and they do wonders for children'sconfidence and wellbeing.

This year we've taken our Donkey Experience days to pupils at Dame Ellen Pinsent School, Hallmoor School, Brays School and Reynalds Cross School. Thank you all for making us so welcome. We'd love to visit more schools next year.

We also work with Young Driver, the UK's biggest provider of driving lessons for under-17s. Through them we offer driving experiences that are completely free for the schools we work with. Younger pupils at Dame Ellen Pinsent School had o go in the Firefly cars, while pupils at High Point Academy took to the wheel on a proper mini road course.

There were plenty of smiles all round.

  • Firefly cars for ages 4-10, real driving lessons for ages 10-17

  • Completely free for the schools we work with

In May we were proud to sponsor the keynote speaker at the Forward Education Trust's annual conference at Villa Park. Our speaker was Musharaf Mushy Asghar, who many people will remember from Educating Yorkshire. He spoke about growing up with a severe stammer, and about the teacherwho helped him find his voice.

It was a warm, funny and moving talk, and a good reminder of the difference one teacher can make. We were glad to play a small part in the day.

We're pleased to say that The Teach Team has been awarded a place on Lot 1 of the Government Commercial Agency (GA), formerly Crown Commercial Service (CCS), RM6376 Supply Teachers and Education Recruitment framework.

This is the government's official route for schools booking supply and permanent staff. In practice, it gives the schools we work with a few useful guarantees:

  • Capped fees. Providers on the GA framework have set caps for all school roles, so there is complete transparency on margins and no surprises.

  • Free temp to perm. If you'd like to keep someone on permanently, you can do so after 12 weeks at no extra cost.

  • Thorough checks. Every member of staff is vetted in line with the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.

From September 2026, academy trusts will need to use an approved framework when they book supply staff, and local authority schools are being encouraged to do the same. We're already approved, so there's nothing you need to do. if you'd like to talk it through, please give us a ring on 0121 274 4820

Finally, thank you to every school that has worked with us this year. We're grateful for your trust, and proud of the partnerships we've built together. We're looking forward to another year of finding you good staff and bringing a few memorable days into school.
